Antique early part of the 1900s Christening Gown Baby Dress Silk with Lace accents, including Cherubs across the hem.
Could also be used as an amazing doll dress!
Measures, lying flat:
Pit-to-pit: 10 inches
Across lace at waist: 9 inches
Across shoulders, sleeve cuff to sleeve cuff (there is no shoulder seam): 17 inches
Width across bottom hem: 24 inches
Total length: 30.5 inches
Flaws: It looks like there were once one or two buttons in the back, but there are not any now. Not sure it's necessary to button it up, but you could replace them if you wanted to.
There are a few brown spots on the lace and on the silk, barely noticeable.
There are some pin holes in a few places.
There are a couple of areas of separation, as pictured, between the lace stripe and the silk body.
What a special gift for a new grandbaby, or something to keep for your own collection.
