This is LIVE Blue Oyster spawn grown on sterilized grain. This is NOT dried out old spawn in dormant pellets!!! This is LIVE completely fresh mycelium, alive, and is super fast growing!! I estimate about 3-4 weeks from spawn to mushroom harvest. Yes, It really does grow that fast!
This will grow and flourish on almost any substrate that you provide it, including sawdust, spent coffee grounds, cardboard, and even old news papers. (yes normal potting soil will work too as well lol)
Blue Oyster mushrooms are pretty forgiving, and are an excellent choice if you are just starting out, or also if you want to grow indoors!
These are great for outdoor growing too! A great place is plant under a tree or next to a house or shed where there is shade. They will most likely come back each year as well.
These have a very delicious taste and are kind of delicate compared to your normal store bought mushrooms. Totally worth growing them, and it's fun too!
