    Description

    Cantharellus lateritius
    (Golden Chanterelle) collected in July-August 2021 in wild forests around Cleveland OH.
    Dried to approximately 10% of original weight and stored in glass jars.
    Before drying I clean them up with knife and brush but never by washing / running water over them.
    As any organic product they may contain traces of soil, grass and other natural substances.
    Placed in warm water they will rehydrate and return to normal consistency. It usually takes several hours (overnight is OK). At this point after rinsing and draining you can cook them by frying, boiling or any other method.
    Please, do not consume raw. Also, do not eat if you are allergic to mushrooms. Otherwise,
    chanterelles are some of the safest edible mushrooms on the planet.
