This is a commonly used 19th and early 20th Century topical medication compound intended use to treat skin disorders and wounds and infections similar to Iodine applications but milder than simple elemental Iodine.  It was used in the 1800's to treat Syphillis and Ghonorhea and other hard to treat diseases.  It has similar properties as Iodoform CHI

however with much heigher Iodine content and with an organic affinity to skin tissues due to the Sulfur in the molecule instead of Carbon and Hydrogen as in Iodoform.  We sell this as a chemical compound for personal experimentation and you can do an internet search respective of its uses, properties and treatment procedures.  It is still compounded in the U.K. and Germany for internal use by patients of highly accredited MDs but for much higher prices and in <50mg doses.*  It is a simple compound made from 20% Sulfur Content and
80% Iodine Content
