This listing is for a Vintage Christening Robe And Bonnet J L Hudson’s in Detroit. This was a large department store which closed down in 1973.
No other tags are in the garment so I am unsure of material and production date.
The robe feels extremely soft and silky and has lace and ribbon trim.
The bonnet has what feels like a cotton inner with a slightly different fabric outer. It looks rather creased an steaming did not help get many wrinkles out.
This little robe is so precious! I would estimate the date to be around 1940.
