Vintage Handmade White Christening Gown Ornate Ayrshire Whitework Needlework 36"

Description

Here we have a vintage handmade Christening Gown with Ayrshire eyelet whitework. This is in beautiful condition, the only flaw I could find was a small spot (please refer to photos). This has 15 buttons down the back - 3 tiny ones at the whitework. The fabric is nice and strong. According to the Estate it would date late 30's/early 40's.
This measures:
36 1/2" shoulder to hem
8" shoulder to shoulder
5" sleeve inseam
The bottom circumference of 66"
I did not launder this - I will leave that to the collector.
